Grieving with Hope: how a church community faces loss together

As Christians, we do not believe in the finality of death. Through Jesus, we have life! And so, as the apostle Paul reminds us (1 Thess. 4:13), we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Of course, this does not diminish the pain of losing a loved one. In this video, we talk about grief and explore whether, as Anne Morrow Lindbergh suggests, grief truly can't be shared and is a burden that must be carried alone -- or whether in a church community of believers we can face loss together and find ways to "show up" for each other in life's hardest hours.

About us: We're a married couple who live at Danthonia Bruderhof, a Christian community in northern New South Wales, Australia, and enjoy discussing our faith, family (we have three grown sons), and the day-to-day adventures of life in "the bush".
