Feisty & Fluffy | Grooming a Shih-Poo Who Hates It!

Say hello to Cadance, an adorable but very spirited Shih-Poo (Shih Tzu & Poodle mix) who visits us every 12 weeks for her grooming session! Don’t let her cute face fool you — Cadance is feisty, reactive, and not the biggest fan of grooming, especially when the clippers come out. 😅

Because grooming can be stressful for her, Cadance requires medication before each visit to help her stay calm and safe. To make the process as smooth and quick as possible, we give her a short haircut that minimizes grooming time and helps keep her comfortable between visits.

In this video, we walk you through Cadance’s groom from start to finish, highlighting the techniques we use to care for more challenging pups. This isn't just about looking good — it's about making sure Cadance is clean, mat-free, and healthy, all while respecting her boundaries.
