What REALLY Happened At Pale Pass? - Oblivion's "Lifting The Vale" | Lore, Theories, Explained

In today's video, I wanted to go through the quest, Lifting the Vale, featured in The elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This mission has the player working with Countess Narina Carvain of Bruma. Together, the player discovers the Serpent's Trail, as well as Pale Pass. Two sites that were previously thought a myth. Pale Pass is where the last garrison of the Akaviri soldiers sought refuge. It acted as their base and it was under the command of Mishaxhi. However, the messenger, Xhaferi, never made it to the fort on time. As such, the fort got wiped out due to being undersupplied. Inside the fort, the fabled Draconian Madstone is said to exist. This is what the Countess wants to get her hands on.
