I’m also sorry if some of the parts of the video seem to move quickly! I realized I could’ve made them a bit slower, but it was way too late and it would’ve taken a very long time to make them longer and time them correctly with the audio.
I think this video only took me a bit over 17 hours, but I kept on procrastinating, so it took weeks for me to finally take the time to finish and upload it 😭
Also, ignore the fact that I reused screenshots from one of my other videos..haha…I got a bit lazy at the end…

I believe that the original meaning behind this song is that the artist—Mitski—would get into relationships that she knew were doomed or would end badly. So, I decided to take that meaning, make it unromantic, and twist it a bit to suit my Aftons. To understand the video slightly better, here’s what I changed the meaning to: All of the Afton kids craved attention from William one way or another, due to always being neglected by him. They tried and tried to get him to notice them, even though they all subconsciously knew he wouldn’t ever love them the way they loved him. So, they knew they would never get that father-child bond they wanted, but couldn’t stop trying.
Part way through the video, after Beth and Norman passed, you can see Michael’s subconscious finally coming to the front of his mind, he realizes that William has never cared and never will.
