Munneru Vaaliba (முன்னேறு வாலிபா) is a patriotic community song commonly sung in Singapore schools. The lyrics of the song are in Tamil language, and the song was composed by S. Jesudassan in 1966.
This instrumental version is an original arrangement recorded using:
Zhong Ruan (Chinese moon guitar);
Kompang (Malay traditional hand drum, playing a Masri rhythm);
Sitar and Banduri flute (Indian traditional instruments); and
Xylophone (Western orchestra pitched percussion instrument, playing the bass accompaniment).
Note: The kompang animation has been edited for the low and high pitches. Thank you to the viewer who brought this to my attention.
