The Gospel of Mark is strange. It takes the familiar stories of Jesus, his life, and his ministry, but the details seem all wrong. However, when we take a closer look at Mark’s story, we find good news. Jesus enters into and confronts the chaos of the Roman Empire and the religious tension of Second Temple
Jerusalem, and brings the Kingdom of God with him.
This Lenten season, we’re journeying together through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection through a six-part video series in the Gospel of Mark. In this video series, your group will hear from both clergy and laypeople as they dig into this strange and beautiful story of Jesus, his complicated disciples, and the strange Kingdom that Jesus brings into our lives and our world.
