"Is this really happening?!" This birding adventure begins as a beautiful foggy morning along a once abandoned railroad turned into a nature trail. A corridor of God's creation once only seen by rail workers, the trail is now a birders delight. As the fog lifts, bird activity picks up, and soon I am surrounded by a flock of Ruby-crowned Kinglets playfully working their way through the area. There are so many, I have trouble deciding which ones to photograph! That's a good problem to have, wouldn't you agree? One question plagued me as I snapped away:
Did I get any shots of their hidden ruby crowns?
I mean, they move so fast and constantly dart around! I really couldn't tell in the moment if I got the brilliant red crown of the little king of the forrest.
Please watch to find out.
