The Franklin County/North Quabbin CHIP Network hosted a walk-through of key findings from the Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) December 11, 2025.
FRCOG’s Community Health Department researched and contributed to the writing of the 2025 CHNA for our area, and this hour-long presentation featured FRCOG's Director of Community Health Phoebe Walker and consultant Ann Darling.
What is a CHNA? Every three years, non-profit hospitals are required to produce a report on local conditions that impact people’s health in the geographic area they serve. This broad review is a data-informed snapshot that can be a valuable resource for organizations that serve Franklin County and North Quabbin residents. Our Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Network uses the BFMC CHNA and other assessments when setting priorities, choosing strategies, and making proposals for funding.
