After conquering France in 1940, the German military established a forward Command Headquarters to be used during the proposed invasion of Great Britain. Sitting quietly in the wood's of north-west France, Wolfsschluct II, a sprawling compound with multiple bunkers, was barely used despite its immense construction price.
