1) Identify what triggers you ahead of time before you are triggered and make a list
2) When triggered, reorient yourself to time and space and identify what is happening as a symptom of being triggered
3) After the trigger, talk to your Amygdala and remind yourself that even though you may consciously recognize the trigger, your body may still be reacting to stress hormones.
