It's been a very long time since I last played a 2D Mario. This game's sequel on the Wii is probably the most recent one, and I haven't played this game since it was new.
New Super Mario Bros. plays a bit like a mix of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. There are some new powerups like the Mega Mushroom at 1:35 and the Mini-Mushroom at 18:45. Otherwise, this is most of World 1 when the game's at its easiest.
Recorded on Steam Deck running Retroarch under the MelonDS core.
