Securing Singapore's hub for semiconductors, despite global challenges. Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has expressed confidence that Singapore will still have a strong, competitive and vibrant semiconductor industry. He pointed to the S$5.4-billion investment by GlobalFoundries to expand its factory in the country. The expansion is expected to create 1,000 high-value jobs.
