On this episode we review the RSD Ti Mollusk Scales for the Benchmade 940 and discuss a bit of knife modding in general. This mod started out as a KnifeWorks Exclusive 940-1501 with the excellent 20CV blade steel, then I source all new titanium 940-2 hardware from eBay vendor xxxadrenalinxxx, and to top it all off, I was able to get my hands on a set of Rockscale Designs Titanium Mollusk Scales designed to fit the 940-1 and 940-2. After carrying a lightly modded 940-2 pretty extensively, I've always wondered what the perfect/ultimate 940 Osborne might look like, so when I saw Rocksale's uber milled out and detailed full titanium scales, I had to jump. I'm loving the muted color combination paired with the super fine detailing, it gives it a high-end prototype vibe and sets a great canvas for future mods with more colorplay.
