The Song Bird is a 23' Columbia fishing boat built in 1950. At its heart is an original Easthope engine. This was a sound once heard all along the coast in the early days. Song Bird steward and Ladysmith Maritime Society member Robert Lawson shares the story of this charming heritage fishing vessel in this video produced for the 2021 Ladysmith Heritage Boat Festival heritage boat series.
