While Rogal Dorn stood in golden glory as the Praetorian of Terra, building magnificent fortifications and basking in the Emperor's favor, Perturabo was cast into the meat grinder of thankless compliance campaigns. World after world, siege after siege, he broke the enemies of the Imperium with cold mathematical precision, receiving nothing but more impossible tasks in return.
