The Parable of the Weeds (Songs about Jesus)

Inspired by Jesus’ parable of the weeds in Matthew 13:24-30.

Lyrics:
There was a man who spread good seed,
He sowed his field with care and speed.
But while the night wrapped 'round the land,
His enemy came with a cunning plan.

He spread out weeds among the wheat,
A bitter plan, a sly deceit.
The field looked fine beneath the sun,
But trouble grew with the work he'd done."

Oh, the wheat and weeds, they share the ground,
In the trials of life, both are found.
But patience holds 'til the harvest day,
When the truth will shine and the lies will fade.

The servants cried, "Sir, what went wrong?
We thought your seed was good and strong.
Shall we pull the weeds up from the soil?"
But the master said, "then the good will spoil.
Let them grow 'til the time is right,
When the harvest comes, we'll set things right."

Oh, the wheat and weeds, they share the ground,
In the trials of life, both are found.
But patience holds 'til the harvest day,
When the truth will shine and the lies will fade.

"Life’s a field, and the seeds we sow,
The good and the bad, they both will grow.
But when our master, Jesus calls,
Then the wheat will stand, and the weeds will fall."

So when you're lost in fields of gray,
Wonderin' why the weeds, won't go away,
Just trust the promise, listen and learn,
When the wheat's in the barn, the weeds will burn.
The truth will rise, the rest will fall,
Great Joy awaits, at the end of all.
