The very first safe belonged to Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, was made of wood and locked using a pin tumbler system. Safes and vaults have come a long way since then. There has always been a need to protect important documents, money and a variety of other precious possessions.

This kit uses an electromagnetic locking mechanism that, once complete, can be used to keep something special ‘safe’.
