This time honoured ceremony gives someone the highest accolade that a city can give in England. It was given to Cedric Robinson MBE in recognition of his fifty years of service guiding thousands of people across the treacherous sands of Morecambe Bay.as The Queen's Guide to the Sands.
Regretfully I was only allowed to film from a fixed position on the balcony.
I filmed this as a present for my friend Cedric and his wife Olive.
