What started as a business trip to Austin turned into an impulsive, 1,300-mile motorcycle adventure back to San Diego. I picked up a used Triumph on a whim and decided to ride it home, racing against the Google Maps estimated time.
But this wasn’t a smooth ride... about 890 miles in, the bike gave out in the Arizona desert — and the rest of the trip involved a U-Haul, busted plans, and some serious reflection.
