August 2020..... Alle Festivals sind abgesagt, wegen der Covid Pandemie... und so auch alle unsere Konzerte seit März... also... ein halbes Jahr schon ohne Live-Auftritte… ein halbes Jahr ohne Einkommen... kein Einkommen bedeutet kein Geld, um Miete, Essen und alles andere zu bezahlen.

Wir sind mit den Maßnahmen einverstanden, wir glauben, dass sie sinnvoll sind… aber... es gibt keine wirkliche Unterstützung vom Staat oder irgendeiner Institution. Das „Corona-Direkthilfeprogramm" durch den Staat war und ist von Anfang an nur dazu da, die Kosten wie Auto, Proberaum Miete etc. zu decken, sog. „Betriebsausgaben“ ... aber diese Kosten sind ja bei Künstler*innen Peanuts im Vergleich zu den Einkommensverlusten... denn die „Betriebsausgaben“, das ist unser Leben selbst!

Wir spielen normalerweise zwischen 8-12 Konzerte pro Monat... und wir leben davon... oder sagen wir: wir "überleben" davon. Und auch normalerweise bedeutet es jedenfalls: kein Konzert - kein Geld...

Ohne Eure Hilfe, ohne eure Spenden hätten wir bis jetzt nicht ohne Konzerte überleben können... (Übrigens, auch unsere Solidaritätskonzerte fallen aus. So viele Projekte haben keine Möglichkeit, durch Partys und Konzerte Gelder zu generieren...)
Jedenfalls dachten wir, es könnte eine nette Idee sein, an einem Ort Urlaub zu machen, der normalerweise für Festivals bekannt ist: FERROPOLIS ...
Es ist ein alter DDR-Tagebau und es ist ein bisschen ironisch in den letzten Jahren mehrere Soli-Konzerte gegen den Kohle - Abbau gespielt zu haben und jetzt an diesem morbiden romantischen Ort zu sein... mit wunderbar klarem Wasser im neuen bestehenden See... Der ganze Ort ist jetzt ein großes Museum. Sehr beeindruckend...

Wir dachten dann, es wäre schön, mit unserem akustischen Straßenset (akustisches Cello und eine selbstgebaute Papptrommel) auf den nun verlassenen Bühnen zu spielen und mit unseren Handys zu filmen... eine Art Dank für Eure Unterstützung, eine Art Kommentar zur Situation, wie sie ist... so sind wir von einem Ort zum anderen gelaufen, und nach einer Weile war auch ein kleines Publikum dabei, wegen des riesigen Platzes war der Sicherheitsabstand von 2 Metern kein Problem... ;)

Natürlich haben wir viel länger gespielt, hier sind nur ein paar kurze Eindrücke... und vielleicht wollt Ihr uns unterstützen, damit wir nächstes Jahr wieder ein paar richtige Konzerte geben können...

August 2020.... All festivals are cancelled, due to the corona pandemic... and all our concerts since March... so... half a year without playing live... half a year without income now... no income means no money to pay rent, food and anything else.

We are okay with the measures, we believe that it is sensefull… but... there is no support from state or any institution. The „direct aid program“ by the state in the beginning was and is only to cover the costs like car, practise room etc... , but these costs are peanuts in comparison to the lost of income... we play normally between 8-12 concert per month... and we live only from that... or let's say: we "survive" from that.

Normally anyway it means: no concert - no money... without your help we could not have survived till now... (By the way, also our solidarity concerts are cancelled. So many projects have no possibility to generate support money by parties and concerts...)

so, anyway we thought it could be a nice idea to do some vacation at a place which normally is known for festivals: FERROPOLIS ... it s an old GDR Opencast mining and it s a bit ironic to have played several soli concerts against coal mining in the last years and now to be at this morbid romantic place... with wonderful clear water in the new existing lake... the whole place is a big museum now. Very impressive...

We then thought, it would be nice to play on the now abandoned stages with our acoustic street set (acoustic cello and one self-made carton-drum) and film it with our phones... kind of a thanks for your support, kind of a comment on the situation as it is... so we walked from one spot to another, and after a while there was also some small audience around, due the huge place the security distance of 2 meters was no problem... ;)

we hope you enjoy it, of course we played much longer, here are only some short impressions... and maybe you want to support us so that next year we can do some real concerts again...
