Biography Elea Nick:

Elea Nick celebrated her greatest international successes when she was awarded first place at the International Violin Competition in 2013 in Novosibirsk (Russia), at the International Violin Competition Lipinski-Wieniawski in Lublin (Poland) in 2015 and at the International Violin Competition "Young Virtuoso" in 2017 in Sofia (Bulgaria). In December 2015 Elea Nick has won the Studienpreis from Migros Kulturprozent.

Previously she also won the Swiss Youth Music Competition in both solo and chamber music categories in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

At the Festival Groba in Ponteareas (Spain) in 2015 she received a special prize as a young soloist. 2017 followed the Kulturpreis of the «Lyceum Club Zürich».

Elea Nick has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Bavarian Rundfunkorchester in Munich, Camerata Zürich, Franz Schmidt Kammerorchester Vienna, Zagreber Kammerorchester at the Festival „Next Generation“, Bron Chamber Orchestra in Interlaken Classic and in the Tonhalle Zürich, with the Sinfonieorchester Meilen, Stadtorchester Solothurn, Chamber Orchestra in Malaga, the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra at the 21. International Musical Olympus Festival in St. Petersburg, the Musikkollegium Winterthur, several times with the Zürcher Symphoniker at Tonhalle Zürich and the Shaanxi Symphony Orchester in China.

After all she plays recitals in many concert halls in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Greece, South Africa and Switzerland.

Elea Nick was born into a musicians family on the 9th of August 1999. In 2007 she took lessons with Prof. Jürg Hofmann in Freiburg in Breisgau and from 2012 to 2015 she studied at the Musikhochschule der Künste in Zürich with Prof Zakhar Bron. 2015 she was studying at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Pierre Amoyal. She also worked with Prof. Pavel Vernikov, Prof. Julia Fischer, Prof. Vadim Repin, Prof. Natalia Prishepenko and Prof. Sergiu Schwartz.

Since 2017 Elea Nick takes lessons with Prof. Esther Hope and since 2018 she ist studying Music with Prof. Zakhar Bron at Kalaidos Musikhochschule and political science at the University of Zurich.

About All by myself:

"All by Myself" is a song by American artist Eric Carmen released in 1975. The verse is based on the second movement (Adagio sostenuto) of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Opus 18, famously used to underscore the 1945 British film Brief Encounter. The chorus was taken from the song "Let's Pretend", which Carmen wrote and recorded with the Raspberries in 1972. The slide guitar solo was performed by studio guitarist Hugh McCracken. (Wikipedia)
