Overhead mics play a huge role in the overall sound of any kit recording, so making the right choice when you're deciding which mics are right for you can be a crucial decision. In this video we aim to give a fair comparison of the sound properties the 3 main types of overhead mics give:

Small Diaphragm Condenser
Ribbon Mics

In this video, you'll hear each pair of mics solo (just the overheads) and blended in with the close mics to give a true representation of how they sit in the mix. None of the overheads have any EQ/Compression or any other processing in this video.
