Frontier (Bally 1980) - Uncle Paulie - Visual Pinball X / VPX - Den of Predators!

Another great choice by Uncle Paulie! I knew nothing about this table, and as a result, I discovered some new favorite pinball sounds - the nighttime calling of crickets! The gameplay is fantastic, with plenty to aim for and various scoring aspects: some accumulate between balls, while others require maximizing per ball. You also have multiple opportunities for extra balls, which are crucial if you want to achieve a good score. Several shots are tricky, especially the left lane, which tends to ping the ball straight back down the middle. As I'm still getting familiar with the table, my initial goals were to complete the Den of Predators and score over 1 million - both of which I accomplished in this game, along with scoring a couple of extra balls and a special. There's still plenty of room to improve my scoring on this table, but it's going to take some work to get it right.

My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.
