AI technology is a complex technical field under constant innovation and development, yet some elements are sufficiently mature that they can be applied to rail operations now.
4AI Systems uses AI and deep learning software specifically configured for rail operations to assess real-time sensor data. AI processed critical information is presented to the driver through a Driver-Machine Interface (DMI) located in the cabin. The system can be configured as an advanced advisory and hazard detection system, or as an onboard train protection system within an overlaid train control environment.
