Hello guys today I will show you how to use PS2BBL to jailbreak your ps2.
For this you will need a memory card, flash drive, and an entry exploit.
For slim models I recommend freedvdboot.
If you have a fat system then I recommend using freehdboot with a sata drive adapter.
In the description I will link tutorials on how run these exploits.
I will be using a blank dvd with freedvdboot burned onto it.
There are two downloads, the first is PS2BBL or basic bootloader.
It has two versions, the system update version will skip the startup animation and auto launch opl.
This will work will all models except for 900xx series consoles.
The other version of ps2bbl runs via opentuna, this does not automatically launch but it does retain the original startup animation.
This is compatible with all models except for japanese 10000 and 15000.
I will be show how to install either one but do not try to install both onto a single memory card.
The second download is for the latest build of opl.
After the files download we need to extract and copy them to a flash drive formatted as MBR fat32.
Rename the opl elf to just OPNPS2LD.ELF.
Replace the old version in KELFBinder\INSTALL\ASSETS\APPS\.
For opentuna we need to update it after installation.
Now we can eject the flash, plug it into the ps2 and startup freedvdboot.
once were in ulaunch elf we can go into the memory card, select all, and then copy all of the saves.
Now go to mass and psuPaste all of your saves as a backup.
We need at least 2000 kilobytes of free space.
If you are installing the opentuna version skip to the next chapter

The system update version is installed with kelf binder, go ahead and launch the elf.
Choose normal install and then your memory card.
After the install now we can eject the dvd and the flash drive.
Now you can skip to the next chapter

Here is how to install the opentuna version.
Choose the ps2bbl opentuna installer elf.
Do a normal install.
Now reset the system and go back to launchelf.
Find the updated opl file and copy.
Go to your memory card then apps and paste.
After that finishes eject the dvd and flash drive then do a reset.
Go into browser, memory card and then immediately go back twice.
Do not click on the invisible icon.
Ps2bbl should show up and the auto launch opl.

Now we are ready to put games on the flash drive.
First copy the save backups to somewhere safe.
Now we need to reformat the drive to exfat so we can play larger games.
Make a folder with capital DVD and then put all of your game isos into the folder.
Now eject and plug it back into the ps2.
By default ps2bbl will launch OPL.
Now we need to adjust settings.
I will be using bdm for usb.
Make sure to save changes.
Now were ready to play games.
If you ever need to access ulaunchelf just hold R1 while ps2bbl starts.
All of the default keybinds are listed in the description.
If you want to change them just edit the CONGIF.INI file.
