This was the very first time I’ve ridden my new, used bike for more than about three minutes. Overall, I spent about 30 minutes, riding the bike on track and taking verbal notes about what it will take to convert this into something I can lean on for regular track use.
The second part of the video covers my initial work on correcting the issues. I still have parts I need to order. I’m going to need to finish this once those arrive. Then I can return to the track to figure out how close I got to my target. I’d really wanted to get lap times before the changes, but the lap timer didn’t work. So we’ll just have to get out the stopwatch and put down what some of the lap times are here to get a bit of an average. There’s another video of the full 30 minutes spent on track. You can click on the link here:
Ironically the limited ground clearance reminded me of a 10” wheeled Ohvale 110. I always pancake the suspension on those and drag a lot of hard parts. Of course, those change direction instantaneously, unlike the z125 I road yesterday. I’ll get much closer to that in short order though.
