NHS Smokefree - Get Unhooked [20 second variants] (2007, UK)

Two little-known short instalments in the infamous "Unhooked" anti-smoking campaign. Viewers are encouraged to press the red button on their remotes to find out more information, a tactic which was employed in a few campaigns from the early 2000s (including "Get Rid of Your Gremlins"). From my understanding, these shorter ads would play as "stings" to give viewers more of a chance to use the interactive features.

The longer "Unhooked" ads featured people being violently dragged around by fishing hooks caught in their mouths, which earned them a ban from pre-watershed television. The poster ads weren't much better... there used to be one on a phone box near my primary school, and I knew people who were terrified of it. Thankfully, these variants are much less graphic.
