This video shows you a walk through the central area of Asahikawa.

Also Asahikawa had been experiencing a streak of extremely hot days, but on this day, the temperature was relatively low, making it possible to take a walk.

Although it's called the central area, this time the focus is not on the shopping street in front of the station, but rather on the western side - the area around the former city center, which was the busiest part of Asahikawa back in the Showa era.

The walk begins here on 7 Jo Street, surrounded by trees, residential neighborhoods, and schools. From there, I’ll pass through the downtown area lined with city hall and hotels, and continue on to Ginza Nakamise Street, home to some of Asahikawa's long-established shops.
