সিকিমের সবচে জনপ্রিয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র সোমগো হৃদ। তবে অবস্হানের কারণে চাঙ্গু হ্রদ নামেই পরিচিত। ভারতের রাজ্য সিকিমের রাজধানী গ্যাংটক থেকে প্রায় ৪০ কিলোমিটার উত্তর-পূর্বে প্রায় ১২,৪০০ ফুট উঁচুতে হিমবাহী এই হ্রদটি। গরমের শুরুতে পর্বতমালার বরফ গলতে শুরু করলে হৃদে নীল পানির দেখা মিলে। তবে বেশিরভাগ সময় এটি বরফের চাদরেই ঢাকা থাকে।
Tsongmo Lake is the most popular tourist destination in Sikkim. However, due to its location near Changu, it is more commonly known as Changu Lake. This glacial lake is located at an altitude of about 12,400 feet. Approximately 40 kilometers north of Gangtok, the capital of
Indian state Sikkim. When the snow on the mountains starts to melt at the beginning of the warm season, the lake is filled with blue water. However, most of the time, it remains covered with a sheet of ice.
