Podmores vibratory bowl feeder handling plastic bushes

A Podmores FB120/250 Vibratory Bowl Feeder handling plastic headed bushes at a low rate (12 parts per minute nominal). The bowl feeder presents one bush at a time ready for a pick and place head unit to select it and insert it as required. The bowl feeder has a 2hr (1,440 product) hopper above it to simplify operation.

The Bowl Feeder is capable of considerably higher throughput rates so additional tooling inside the bowl relieve the pressure build up caused by only 12 parts per minute being required.

Sensors in the hopper alert an operative when it needs filling. Inside the bowl feeder, specific tooling selects the orientation of the bushes. A 'C'-shaped chute inverts the bush and a sensor driven orientation end stop moves one product into position for the pick and place unit.
