Kuntao / Martial Arts before Mazu’s return to Dajia 媽祖回到大甲鎮瀾宮前的武術表演（2025）

The pilgrimage of Dajia Mazu is one of the great religious festivities of our world. Mazu was originally a 10th century shamaness who was later deified by the Min people. Of course before her return to Dajia there must be a lot of martial arts performances! My teacher Ghyslain @gk_wushuquest invited me and I got to meet some of my martial uncles and my teacher's teacher. Ghyslain is deeply immersed in the traditional Chinese martial arts and lion dance culture. Within him are Cantonese and Fujian-Taiwanese systems among which he teaches me Taizu Quan.
大甲媽祖遶境進香是我們世界上最偉大的宗教節日之一。媽祖本來是一位10 世紀的巫師，後來被閩族人奉為神明。當然她回來前必須要有很多武術表演！我的師父 Ghyslain 邀請我去，也是一個機會跟師叔們和師爺見面。Ghyslain老師深諳中國傳統武術和舞獅文化。他教授的是粵式和閩台武術，其中他還教我太祖拳。
