Average Rates of Change | Year 11 Mathematical Methods | MaffsGuru.com
**
This is another video in the rates of change section of the Mathematical Methods (Year 11 Units 1 and 2 VCE) course. Having looked at constant rates of change, it becomes important to look at average rates of change. These can be applied to both straight lines and other functions. I take some time to look at how we can find the average rate of change of a function by using some pretty basic Year 9 Maths. I look at the ways that Methods can trick you (with notation) using a number of worked examples. All the examples are explained in an easy to understand way. This video is the foundation for the next video which is pretty important for the understanding of Calculus.
