This video, which is a collaboration with @LearnHittite , explores the theoretical lost Indo-European branches of northern Europe, that are believed to have left traces in the form of substrate loanwords and place-names.
Whether these languages existed, or if they are just ghosts of linguistic reconstruction is up to debate, but they are still a reminder that our knowledge about ancient northern Europe is late and incomplete, meaning that groups like the speakers of these proposed languages could have existed until relatively recently.
