Without onion garlic thali recipe ( Odia ) | Veg Thali recipe by mrunalinee | Niramisa Thali recipe | Bina piaja rasuna thali recipe : Here I have prepared without onion garlic thali . Which contains Kanika ( sweet rice ), Muga dali ( Moong Dal ), Alu Posta ( aloo khaskhas or poppy seeds ), Shahi paneer, Alu Potala chips ( aloo parwal chips ) , poori and boondi . This easy , healthy and super tasty without onion garlic thali can be prepared for any festival, puja or can also be served to guest .
Ingredients :
Kanika ( Sweet Rice ) :
1. Basmati Rice ( short grain rice ) or can use raw rice - 1½ cup ( 200gm approx. )
2. Water - 3 cups
3. Ghee ( clarified butter ) - ( 2-3 tbsp )
4. Sugar - 3 tbsp ( or as required )
5. Dry nuts - Cashew , raisins ( you can also add chopped coconut )
6. Whole spices ( Green cardamom - 2, cloves - 4, Bay leaf - 1 )
7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
8. Salt to taste ( or 1/4 tbsp )
Muga Dali ( Moong Dal ) :
1. Split yellow lentils ( Mung/muga ) - 1/2 cup or 4 palm full
2. Water - 2½ cup
3. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
4. Salt to taste ( or 1 tsp )
5. Diced Brinjal - 1 palm full
6. Diced Pumpkin - 1 palm full
7. Diced Tomato - 1 small
8. Crushed Ginger - 1 inch or 1 tbsp
9. Chopped Coriander leaves
10. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
11. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
12. Dry red chilli - 2 nos
13. Roasted cumin and dry chilli powder - 1 tbsp
14. Ghee ( clarified butter ) - 1 tsp
15. Oil
Alu Posta ( Aloo Khas khas / Potato poppy seeds ) :
1. Diced Potato - 2 nos ( medium )
2. Poppy seeds ( posta / khas khas ) - 4 tbsp
3. Green chilli - 4 nos ( or as required )
4. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp ( Optional )
5. Salt to taste
6. Black cumin seeds ( Kalonji / Kala jeera ) - 1 tsp
7. Mustard oil - 2 tbsp ( or any other cooking oil )
8. Chopped coriander leaves
Shahi Paneer Recipe :
1. Paneer cubes - 100 gm
2. Whole spices ( bay leaves - 2, cinnamon stick-1 inch , green cardamom - 3 nos, cloves - 4 nos )
3. Green chilli - 2 nos
4. Whole cashew nuts - ( 10-12 nos )
5. Melon seeds ( Char magaz ) - 2 tbsp
6. Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp
7. Tomato - 2 nos ( medium )
8. Ghee ( clarified butter ) - 1/2 tbsp
9. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
10. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp
11. Salt to taste
Alu Potala Chips ( Aloo Parwal Chips ) :
1. Pointed gourd ( Parwal/ potala ) - 2 nos
2. Potato - 1 ( medium )
3. Gram flour ( besan ) - 2 tbsp ( or as required )
4. Cornflour ( or use rice powder / arrowroot powder ) - 2½ tbsp ( or as required )
5. Crushed ginger & green chilli - 1 tbsp
6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
7. Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
8. Salt to taste
9. Oil to fry
Mitha Bundi ( Rasa bundi / Boondi ) :
1. Gram flour ( besan ) - 1 cup or 8 tbsp
2. Oil - 1 tbsp
3. Orange red food colour - A pinch
4. Sugar - 1 cup or 6 tbsp
5. Water - 1/2 cup
6. Green cardamom - 2 nos
7. Lemon slice
8. Dry nuts
9. Oil to fry
Poori :
1. Wheat flour ( Atta ) - 1/2 cup or 4 tbsp
2. All purpose flour ( maida ) - 1/2 cup or 4 tbsp
3. Black cumin seeds ( kalonji / kala jeera ) - A pinch
4. Semolina ( Sooji / suji ) - 1 tsp
5. Salt to taste or 1/2 tsp
6. Oil to fry
