In our last video, we explored how Eliche Radice began its journey in naval propulsion. Today, we continue the story with our CEO, Andrea Chiecchi.

During WWII, Eliche Radice entered the defense sector, equipping the legendary MAS assault motorboats and the slow-running torpedo, also known as the "pig". From that moment, the company became a trusted partner for the Italian Navy, Italian Coast Guard, Italian Custom Police and Police naval units, as well as for select foreign forces.

By the 1950s, Radice had become Europe’s benchmark in marine propulsion, pioneering and expanding mechanical milling of propellers for unprecedented dimensional precision and surface quality.

Innovation didn’t stop there. In the 1960s, the company introduced its first surface propellers, later emulated across Italy and Europe. By the 1970s, numerically controlled machines and fluid dynamics calculations further enhanced efficiency and silence—pushing naval propulsion into a new era.

Today, 100% of production is CNC-driven, meeting the strictest ISO standards (Class S). At Eliche Radice, precision isn’t optional—it’s a promise.
