Want to add unique textures and line work to your gel prints?
In this video, I’ll show you how to sew a design onto paper using a sewing machine (or hand and needle) and then imprint it onto a gel plate for amazing marks and textures.
This technique combines stitching and printmaking to create dynamic layers in your art. Whether you’re into mixed media, printmaking, or experimental techniques, this method will open up new creative possibilities!
Supplies Needed:
• Sewing machine
• #8 or #5 weight embroidery thread
• Heavyweight paper or cardstock
• Gel plate
• Acrylic paint or printing ink
• Brayer
