SurfPaints acrylic water based paint pens are permanent on porous surfaces but not permanent on non porous surfaces (such as a fibreglass surfboard).
In order to make it permanent you need to apply a varnish/lacquer/clear spray to seal the artwork and prevent it scratching off with the wear and tear involved in surfing.
This video shows how to apply 3 coats of varnish to make your art permanent on a surfboard. All it needs to be is a fast drying, acrylic clear spray that can be found anywhere in the world.
