Project Barley’s Lomita taproom was full of diehard Rush fans on Sunday night, excited to see MOOD LIFTERS, and boy did they deliver the goods! Rocky Kuner commanded the room with her soaring vocals. Ben King was amazing to witness on guitar, as he recreated Alex Lifeson’s blend of shimmering textures and ferocious solos. Isamu Kakitani juggled bass, keyboards, and pedals as though three musicians were inhabiting one body. And Mat Miranda drives the engine with rhythmic precision and flair, nailing Neil Peart’s genius grooves.

For this debut at Project Barley, Mood Lifters fans cheered, sang, and air-drummed through every song, locking into the music’s intensity almost as much as the band itself. Sharing craft beers, enjoying handmade pizzas, and even playing the Rush pinball machine — the night was an unforgettable celebration and another one for the history books.
