Here is some HD footage from a return trip to Browns Folly Mine under Monkton Farleigh. This mine is just one of the many Bath stone mines (quarries) in the area.
This particular mine contains around 14km of tunnel and if you get lost you may not be found for a long long time! I have vast experience navigating mines, maps, surveys, compasses, food, and enough torches and batteries to last several days. Never venture into a mine unless you understand the risks and take the necessary precautions. (A hard hat is a good idea!)
My previous video from Browns Folly, (found here • Mine Exploration: Browns Folly Mine (2013) ), was shot about 5 years before this one. If you compare the two videos you can see just how the mine has changed during the last few years.
I have been experimenting with video encoding to get the best possible quality, but youtube still makes it look a little crappy, so be sure to watch in 1080!
