Cape Town received a lot of rain today, flooding many of the roads in the city. Then, heavy rain inland with the Vaal Dam at 113% full and five sluice gates open. This is causing flooding down river. In today's video, we drive down Van Reenen’s Pass, a stunning mountain pass that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Next, we head to Klerksdorp, where the rain enhances the serene atmosphere, showcasing the charm of this vibrant area. Our adventures continue at Kruger National Park, specifically at the Phalaborwa Gate. Another highlight is the captivating weather at Al2Stadler Kimberley, where we witness a brewing storm adding dramatic flair to the landscape.

Good day, South Africa! Today, Today, a significant cut-off low is making its way toward the West Coast of South Africa. As a result, we anticipate the development of showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western interior regions. Impact-Based Warnings from the South African Weather Service (SAWS): Yellow Level 4 Warning for severe thunderstorms could lead to considerable damage or loss of infrastructure, affecting both formal and informal settlements, as well as posing risks to property, vehicles, livelihoods, and livestock. This warning is particularly relevant for the Northern Cape Province, the North West Province, and the Free State Province. A Yellow Level 2 Warning and individuals should be cautious of severe thunderstorms that may cause flooding in vulnerable areas, including roads, low-lying regions, and bridges. Localized damage to communities is also expected in the southern parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province and the northern and extreme western sectors of the Eastern Cape Province. Stay alert and prepared for changing weather conditions, and follow any local advisories for safety.
