Incoming arctic air mass is on the doorstep, which'll funnel into West Michigan overnight into Friday, even lingering into the weekend.
Air temperatures will fall below zero by daybreak Friday, with little to no rebound throughout the day. It'll remain blustery much of Friday, causing wind chills to plummet to dangerous levels... -10° to -30°... that can cause frostbite within 15 minutes.
The coldest temperatures arrive Friday night, with those away from the lakeshore potentially falling between -15° to -25°. The wind will lighten up by this point, but brutal wind chill values will remain.
