Emerging Technologies and Aging Research: Bioprinting, Organ Regeneration, and Beyond | AFAR Webinar (March 20, 2025)
Innovations in organ and tissue regeneration are rapidly advancing and hold great promise for supporting healthy aging. New therapies can now grow ectopic organs within the body, while 3D‑printing technologies are creating complex, functional tissues from living cells.
In this webinar, moderated by AFAR Board Member Sergey Young of the BOLD Longevity Growth Fund, experts Eduardo N. Chini, MD, PhD (Mayo Clinic); Michael Hufford, PhD (LyGenesis); Michael Levin, PhD (Morphoceuticals and Tufts University); and AFAR President Thomas A. Rando, MD, PhD (UCLA) explored how these emerging technologies could transform organ transplantation, drug testing, and regenerative medicine. They also highlighted how new partnerships between academia and biotech may accelerate personalized medicine for all.
