6 More things you didn’t know about the MK2 Audi TT - 2008-2015

1 - High-Spec
If you are looking to buy an Audi TT look at the 2014 and 2015 models. Those model years came — pretty much -- fully loaded, and with the aesthetic portion only of the S-Line package. S-Line front and rear bumpers, interior LED lights, leather center console and gauge lid, bose sound system, and more.
But even though it’s an S-Line, you don’t get the S-line badge on the steering wheel or the embossed s-line logo on the seats.

2 - Timing chain issues
More gooding come to the 2014 and 2015 model years again, as they received revised timing chain tensioners, making them unaffected and exempt from the class-action lawsuit. 2013 models are kind of left in limbo as some may experience the issue depending on when the car was manufactured, but they also are excluded from that lawsuit. Might be best to leave that model year alone unless you plan on having it replaced.


3 - Samoa Orange

Samoa orange was made available for the TT starting with the 2013 model year, and were only available in 2 ways.
Either you got the standard TT in the competition spec, or you purchased the TTS or TT RS via a made to order service called Audi Exclusive, making this one of the rarest colors for the TT with only about 60 examples produced across all TT model levels.

4 - Key Fob Window Control deleted?
Most MK2 TTs have a window auto down and auto up feature built into the key fob by holding the lock and unlock buttons. On my 2014 model, that feature is nonexistent, even the menu to enable it is gone. What year is your TT and do you have this feature? Let me know in the comments.


5 - MMI Bluetooth Conundrum

The factory MMI system has bluetooth connectivity but only works for phone calls, not music streaming. Luckily, you can add this feature with the CoolStream CarPro adapter. Allowing you to stream music and make phone calls seamlessly. I made a video on this gadget, so check it out.

6 - Underrated Horsepower

If you plan on modifying your TT with parts and a tune, be sure to get a dyno run first. Standard MK2 TT often dyno around 210 to 220 hp. So that tune you have might not have added as much power as you thought it did.
