Project Description:
Summit College’s Student Association of Veterinary Technicians partners with several area animal shelters to provide pet adoption services at their campus. They assist Summit College staff, students, and the greater community with adding a pet to their household. To market their program and get the word out about how they can help households acquire a pet, they want to put together a presentation showcasing their assistance with adopting a pet. You volunteer to create a presentation as your community service for the semester.

2 On Slide 7, insert a Vertical Box List SmartArt graphic. Type the following in the Text pane as first level bullet points.

3 Move the Transfer to Another Facility shape up twice so that it becomes the second shape in the SmartArt graphic. Select all of the individual shapes in the SmartArt graphic. Change the shapes to Arrow: Pentagon in the Block Arrow shapes group. Apply the Intense Effect SmartArt Style and change the color to Colorful – Accent Colors. 5
4 On Slide 4, select the first picture on the left, press and hold CTRL, and then select each of the remaining pictures moving from left to right. Click or press Picture Layout and insert a Picture Caption List SmartArt graphic.
In the SmartArt Text pane, type the text as follows (ensure that the text is next to the appropriate image)
• Bailey (first image)
• Shadow (second image)
• Bella (third image)
• Buster (fourth image)

Mac users, delete the four images on the slide, and then insert a Picture Caption List SmartArt graphic. Add a shape to the end to ensure there are four shapes included in the SmartArt graphic. Add the following downloaded images, in this order: Bailey.png, Shadow.png, Bella.png, and Buster.png. Add the text as instructed. 10
5 Apply the Intense Effect SmartArt Style. 2
6 On Slide 5, convert the bulleted list to a Lined List SmartArt graphic. Apply the Polished SmartArt Style. Change the colors to Colorful Range - Accent Colors 3 to 4.


Mac users: Apply Vertical Bullet List, and then on the SmartArt Design tab, select Lined List from the List category. 5
7 On Slide 8, insert a three column, six row table in the content placeholder.

Type the following information into the table:
Row 1: Col 1: Workshop Col 2: Date; Col 3: Time
Row 2: Col 1: Advice for Adopters; Col 2: February 6; Col 3: 6-9 p.m.
Row 3: Col 1: Pet Basic First Aid; Col 2: March 2; Col 3: 8-11 a.m.
Row 4: Col 1: Pet Emergencies; Col 2: April 17; Col 3: 6-9 p.m.
Row 5: Col 1: Vaccinations; Col 2: May 17; Col 3: 8-11 a.m.
Row 6: Col 1: Pet Behavior; Col 2: June 8; Col 3: 8-11 a.m.

9 Add a new column to the left of column 1 in the table. Merge the cells in the new column. Type Spring Semester in the new column and rotate all text 270°. Set the cell width of the merged cells to 0.9". Center the text in the cell. Change the cell shading to Dark Yellow, Accent 2. 13
10 Set all of the text in the table to Center Vertically. Set the table height to 4.2" and the table width to 11".
11 Increase the font size of the text Spring Semester to 24 pt. Change the font size of the column headings Workshop, Date, and Time to 20 pt. Readjust the column width for the first column to 0.9". 2
12 On Slide 6, create a Clustered Column chart with the following data:
Leave cell A1 blank, enter Dog in cell B1, enter Cat in cell C1.
Then populate A2:C7 with the following values:

Change the source data to use the range A1:C7. 11
13 Make the following changes to the clustered column chart:
• Apply Chart Style 8
• Change the Chart Colors to Colorful Palette 3
• Enter Estimated Cost of Ownership as the chart title
14 Change the chart height to 5". Position the chart horizontally at 1" and vertically at 1.6". 3
15 Start Word. Open Wishlist.docx and copy the table. On Slide 9, paste the table using Paste Special as an embedded object. In the Paste Options dialog box, select Microsoft Word Document Object.
