Girona is the capital city of the province of Girona in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. Girona is located at the confluence of the Ter, Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. It’s known for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell) and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress. Parts of Game of Thrones (Season 6) were filmed in Girona.
