04-08 Chevy Malibu Transmission Removal and Leaking Main Seal Replacement

In a previous episode, we fixed a number of leak points on this car, but there was still one left to tackle and it required the removal of the transmission to reach it. The rear main seal goes between the crankshaft and the engine block/oil pan. This is the 3.6L or 3600 V6 motor that is in many vehicles. This took me about 7 hours from start to finish, over a couple evenings.
