This simple check and easy replacement is a job that really anyone can do.
ensure the engine coolant is COLD before any work on the coolant system on any vehicle is carried out.
Car worked on is a FORD - 43K miles - purchased brand new & dealer serviced - but they never spotted this.
If this was left would end up with zero coolant & a seized engine !
If you have any doubts about doing it yourself ask a someone who knows about cars.
The whole point to this VT - to to make you aware that Plastic parts in an engine bay - will not last !
Engines do get very hot - Rubber Hoses & Plastic parts can and do break down
