Maiden Flight of "Over the Rainbow" - High River, Alberta, November 2025

In November of 2023 I started working on my Hot Air Balloon Pilots license. That took about a year. I've been flying the with the Calgary Balloon Club and having an awesome time. This past summer, Heather and I were given an offer we couldn't refuse and bought a brand new Cameron Balloons Sport-90 and decided to call it "Over the Rainbow". Heather designed the visuals on the balloon while I chose all the technical aspects.

This video is from its first ever flight on November 30th 2025. Flying with us that day was Shane. Shane is many things, a good buddy, my balloon instructor, my balloon AME AND the Cameron dealer here in Western Canada. He was flying his brand new balloon for the first time as well and is calling his Starburst.

During black Friday I picked up some new recording equipment and intend to pick the channel back up and post as much flying content as I can. Lots of it will be ballooning, but there should also be some general aviation mixed in as well.

I am still flying Flight Sim once in a while, but not nearly as much as I found myself previously.
