March 3, 2012, DJ Jash of Truth On Air had the privilege to have a short talk with Tito Venida, the Founding Father of Tau Gamma Phi Fraternity. Here is a video him discussing hazing and his conversion to Christianity.

Truth On-Air Video Blog: Tau Gamma Phi Founding Father Tito Venida talks about His Faith in Jesus Christ (Transcription Below)



TV: I am Tito Venida, the founder of Triskelion Grand Fraternity.

JB: What can you say about Hazing?

TV: Hazing is a crime. It's against the law, and it is malum per se, meaning it is a heinous crime. I am against hazing because it kills. Hazing - any form of violence, any form of ridicule, any form of public exposure of humiliation, making another individual to be a slave - to me that is not only a violation of the law, which is an act of degrading human dignity, but also a sin against GOD. Taking one life, to me, you have taken something that you cannot replace. What more if that one life becomes ten, twenty, a hundred, a thousand? In so many years that we have been existing, I think and I believe we've taken so many innocent lives. That's what makes me really concerned about going about a fraternity preaching no hazing policy. If I can stop my fraternity from taking another human life, then I have done what the LORD has commanded me and that would be pleasing to His name.

JB: I heard that you're now an evangelical Christian. Can you share your testimony with us?

TV: My testimony - as a follower and believer of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, changed my life. At first, when I was in the University of the Philippines, I didn't believe in God, making me an atheist. Not until 1986, when I met another servant of the LORD, who told me, "The fools said in his heart, 'There is no God.'" Me, being an unbeliever, makes me a fool. And I thought I was not a fool. And when he invited me one Sunday to attend his service - a worship service in his church, when I heard him preach the message of "The Fools said in His Heart: There is No God". right from the Bible, the Word of GOD, it dawned on me that I had to look into myself the validity of the Word of God, telling me that the fools said in his heart that there is no God; and, indeed, the Word of GOD is true, that I was really a fool. And, for me, to change my situation from a fool to be somebody who knows the truth, I cannot do it by my self. Only GOD can change me from being a fool to being wise. Now, that was twent-six years ago, now I can tell you the truth that, I'd rather SERVE GOD than MEN.
