On the northeastern point of Bunaken, the Pahepa dive site awaits both divers and snorkelers with its captivating underwater world. The steep slope of Pahepa is adorned with numerous giant gorgonians, and its crevices provide shelter for different species of moray eels. Gliding along the slope, you'll feel immersed in a "fish soup" with red tooth triggerfish swirling around and a massive school of black snapper creating a mesmerising spectacle. Pahepa is renowned for its abundance of larger fish, with reef sharks and eagle rays frequently gracing the site's deeper and shallower parts. The extensive and pristine coral garden that extends from the Bunaken shoreline adds to the allure of this must-visit dive location.

Sachiko: Wire Corals and Marine Marvels
Sachiko, with its sloping topography adorned with wire corals, offers divers a unique underwater experience. The dive site is frequently visited by Napoleon wrasse, batfish, moray eels, jacks, and schools of smaller species, creating a bustling marine environment. Keep a keen eye out for green turtles as your guide searches for critters, and remember to glance into the blue for passing pelagics. Sachiko showcases the vibrant life thriving beneath Bunaken's waters, making it a favourite among divers seeking diverse marine sightings.

Tanjung Parigi: A Haven in the Northern Bay
Meaning 'Well Corner' in Indonesian, Tanjung Parigi is nestled in the small village in the northern bay of Bunaken. The site begins with a large sandy slope interspersed with patches of reef, housing fascinating critters like squat lobsters, scorpionfish, and jawfish. Beyond the slope, a large pinnacle often becomes a residence for ghost pipefish and leaf scorpionfish before transitioning into a vertical wall. Tanjung Parigi is an ideal dive site when currents are strong elsewhere, as the bay provides some protection. Tanjung Parigi is a versatile site suitable for diving and snorkelling with excellent visibility and a beautiful reef top.

Siladen Jetty: Underwater Diversity Beyond the Resort
Situated just outside the resort, Siladen Jetty is renowned as one of Bunaken Marine Park's best dive and snorkelling sites. The shallow reefs are adorned with pristine corals, while the deeper wall boasts enormous sponges and gorgonians. Unique to this site is the variety of anemone and anemonefish, especially on the reef top. Currents typically offer a consistent drift, allowing divers to witness a playful display of fish in the blue. Watch the wall for surprises like ghost pipefish, less common nudibranch species, and the occasional sighting of baby reef sharks hiding in cracks and caves.
